Arriving a bit early? Join your colleagues on a tour of three local repositories (transportation from the hotel included!). Participants will be picked up at the hotel at 1pm and taken via shuttle bus to the Regional Special Collections of Sonoma State University Library, from there they will travel to the Santa Rosa Junior College Archive and then onto the Schulz Museum. The shuttle bus will return to the hotel by 5pm allowing participants time to get ready for the Opening Reception

Regional Special Collections at Sonoma State University
1:30-2 pm 

Enjoy a brief tour of the SSU Library’s Special Collections, including a chance to view our unique Jack London Collection, featuring London’s novels as they were first published, in serial form, as well as letters written by Ernest Hemingway to local journalist Denne Petitclerc.

Also out for display during the visit will be some of the thousands of items from our many Environmental History Collections and our Dust Bowl Migration Archive, centered around the 1930s history of California migrant labor camps.

Santa Rosa Junior College was founded in 1918. The Santa Rosa Junior College Archives serves as a repository for the historical records documenting the founding and evolution of the College. Its mission is to collect, organize, preserve, and make available the official and historically valuable records of the College.

Charles M. Schulz Museum

3:30 - 4:15 pm

The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center is the premier place to see the largest collection of original Peanuts artwork. Come and view some highlights from the Museums Special Collections which include original strips and unpublished works, artifacts, and ephemera.
