Enjoy an evening of refreshments and an inspiring documentary at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Founded in 1919, the Huntington Library is a collections-based research and educational institution serving scholars and the general public. Today, the library is home to more than nine million manuscripts, 450,000 rare books, and two million photographs, prints, and ephemera. Attendees can explore the lush Steven S. Koblik Education and Visitor Center, which opened in 2015 and features California native plants. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages (cash bar) will be served in the Rose Hills Foundation Garden Court, under an iconic 36-foot-high glass dome. Screening of Don Hahn’s new film, The Gamble House, will follow the reception (Popcorn will be served during viewing!). Come meet and mingle with your SCA colleagues for a memorable evening at the Huntington.
Admission to the Opening Reception is included in the AGM Full Registration fee.
Coach buses will leave the hotel at 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm. Last bus to leave the Huntington will be at 9:45 pm. Those wishing to drive themselves are welcome to do so. Parking is free.
