Description
The Autry Museum’s Resources Center is a state-of-the-art collections stewardship, educational, and research facility located in Burbank to protect and preserve the Autry’s extensive collections, including those once housed at the historic Southwest Museum. The LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building includes a reading room, tribal community spaces and collections care rooms. Landscaping and ceremonial gardens were designed by Costello Kennedy Landscape Architecture, with active input from Southern California Native community members.
At the Resources Center, Native community members, researchers, students, teachers, and artists can access the more than 600,000 artifacts, cultural materials, artworks, and library materials cared for in the collections of the Autry Museum.

The Autry Resources Center is located in Burbank, approximately 5 miles from the Garland Hotel.
Public transit: There is no easy or quick bus route from the conference hotel. However, for those who will be travelling via the Metrolink, the Autry Resource Center is approx. one mile from the Metrolink Station located in Downtown Burbank station

Description
The Burbank Historical Society's Gordon R. Howard Museum, founded in 1973, aims to preserve Burbank's history. The museum features various rooms, including the Mary M. Howard Room with vintage automobiles, the Memorabilia Room with historical photographs and studio displays, the Salon with vintage dresses and dolls, and the Ranch House with early farm equipment and a Bob's Big Boy statue. Other highlights include the Ray Sence Room with early office and home vignettes, the Upstairs Gallery with vintage cameras and toys, the Cunningham Room with Indian artifacts and toy trains, and the Mentzer House, a fully furnished 1887 home. Special features include the Moreland bus from "The Artist," original Disney plans, and a quilt honoring soldiers lost in Iraq.

This tour will include standing and walking. The historic Mentzer House, built in 1887, is part of the tour and includes 3 steps with no ramp. Access to the archives includes a flight of stairs that includes a chair lift.

A Walt Disney Archives staff member hosts each tour and will show you our current exhibitions, all while providing engaging trivia and plenty of photo opportunities.
