We encourage you to stay at  The Sainte Claire hotel.  We have negotiated a reasonable rate for AGM attendees.
SCA AGM room rate: $119.00 per night (for stays between April 27 - 30, 2011).

Please use The Sainte Claire's online reservation system (look for the yellow "Book Your Stay" box on their home page).

Use this "GROUP CODE" gasn26 to receive the special rate.

You may also make reservations by calling 866-870-0726.  Please refer to the group name "Society of California Archivists."

Reservations must be received by April 11th to receive the special rate.  After April 11th, reservations can still be made at the Sainte Claire.  The rate will be "Best Available Rate" at the time you make the reservation.

The Sainte Claire does not have its own parking garage, but valet parking through the hotel is available at the following rates:

  • 1-2 hours $8.00
  • 2-5 hours $12.00
  • Over 5 hours $18.00
  • Overnight $21.00

Otherwise, there are several nearby city parking lots and garages.  The nearest garage is at the McEnery Convention Center, and the nearest lot is at the corner of S. Market St. and W. San Carlos St.

See the San Jose Downtown Parking web site for more information. From within this web site, is this handy parking map which shows the Diridon train station and VTA light rail stops as well as parking facilities. It also lists the ten parking facilities and the 100+ shops/restaurants that participate in Downtown San Jose's parking validation program. (Two hours of free parking if you get your ticket validated at one of the participating shops/restaurants.)
